A barbershop. A bar. A meeting place.
Architect Hair Design officially opened its doors to the public early November 2015. Since then, the Venue has received a ton of attention via social media, press articles and an insane amount of buzz by word of mouth.

I know what you’re thinking, so let’s take a few steps back. Don’t let the name fool ya, Architect Hair Design (or Architect for short), is more than your regular run of the mill barbershop. It’s a fully licensed establishment with a bar/lounge area used for sitting, playing board games, and drinking quite the selection of local craft beers and wine.
Architect Hair Design might just be Hamilton’s coolest Venue and here’s why:
- Awesome Haircuts & Service
As the name suggests and as you probably guessed it, you can get a pretty awesome haircut, trim, and even a hot towel shave at Architect. We’ve been going here since Architect opened and the quality of the service is hands down an easy 5/5. We like to think of it as the best of both worlds, that of the traditional barber experience mixed with the service and care of a salon. Need a quick hair rinse and wash before and/or after your cut? No problem, they do that too. And if you’re looking to test out some new hair products (wax, gel, pomade, etc..) then again, you’ve come to the right place!

2. Fully Licensed
Like we mentioned before, this isn’t your ordinary barbershop. It’s fully licensed establishment that’s always ready to serve you some delicious beverages including a great mix of local craft beers and wine.
3. They Throw Events
Every now and then, Architect ends up collaborating with local event organizers to throw some pretty sweet events. In the past such events included: A mixtape exchanger, beer and food pairings, and Art Crawl after parties.

4. Art, Art, Art
In addition to the collection of beer and throwing wicked events, Architect has a pretty awesome collection of art pieces (paintings, prints, and even a few sculptures) from local Artists. All of these pieces are on display for some visual enjoyment, but you can also purchase them for your own use as well.
5. Board Games & Chess Nights
Looking for a night out to relax and play a few board games with some friends/family? Perfect, Architect has you covered for that too! On Tuesday nights, the Venue hosts a game night which includes a mix of Chess, Cards Against Humanity, Monopoly, you name it.
