The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is coming soon!
Back for its 18th edition, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, or CP Holiday Train, is once again ready to support communities and raise awareness surrounding hunger and poverty.
Following recent years, this year, there will be 2 Holiday Trains touring North America and making stops at local communities. One of the trains will primarily ride through Canada. The other, the United States. The CP Holiday Train tour officially starts this year on November 25th, touring coast-to-coast with the Holiday Train banner. The tour includes both trains collectively hosting approximately 150 shows all held throughout November and December.
Each Holiday Train is about 1,000 feet in length, with 14 rail cars brightly decorated and completely decked out with as much Holiday spirit as you could possibly imagine. Lights, trees, reindeer, and of course music! You name it, the Holiday Train has it! Even the big ol’ jolly fella would be proud.

While entry to the show is completely free, everyone is encouraged to bring with them non-perishable food items such as canned food, in support of local food banks across North America. Representatives from local food banks will be present at each site, collecting such items. Since its launch in 1999, the initiative has raised more than $12 million and 3.9 million pounds of food for communities along CP’s routes in Canada and the northern U.S.
If you’re not sure what kind of items you should be bringing to donate for the food banks, you can checkout CP’s Healthy Donations campaign to give you a better idea of what items they might be looking for.

The Holiday Train will be making it’s way through Hamilton (stopping at Gage Park) and Toronto (stopping at Lambton Yard) on Monday, November 28th at 7:45pm and 8:15pm, respectively.
You can track the Holiday Train’s journey and tour by following along on social media using the #CPHolidayTrain hashtag.
