April 19th at various venues across Canada
Happening all across Canada, this is officially the world’s largest film festival ever! NCFB 150 is a massive one-day, coast-to-cost-to-coast celebration of Canadian cinema in honour of Canada. Hamilton’s very own, Hamilton Film Festival will be screening two films at The Staircase Theatre: Lucky 7 and Bed of the Dead.
June 11th on the McQuesten High Level Bridge (Hamilton & Burlington)
This must-attend, once-in-a-lifetime event will officially be taking place on June 11th, 2017 at the historic McQuesten High Level Bridge. The iconic bridge will be closed off to traffic in order to support a full day of fun activities including food, drinks, the arts, and live entertainment. June 15th – 17th, 2017 at Gore Park (Hamilton, ON)
Save the date! The Downtown Hamilton BIA will be Celebrating Canada Coast to Coast right in Gore Park. Festivities will kick off on June 15th in the evening with a community picnic. Gore Park will be packed full of activities celebrating Canada on June 16th and 17th including music, art, food, drinks and more!
June 30th – July 2nd, 2017 at Niagara Falls City Hall
The Niagara Falls Canada Day Celebration was recently recognized by Festivals & Events Ontario as one of the Top 100 Festivals & Events in Ontario! This weekend long celebration features the best everything, including live entertainment (music), an arts showcase, food, drinks, an opening parade, and of course fireworks!

11 magnificent Tall Ships will grace Hamilton’s Waterfront during the RENDEZ-VOUS (RDV) Tall Ships Regatta at Pier 8 June 30 to July 2. The majestic Tall Ships are returning to Pier 8 – following their hugely successful visit back in the summer of 2013. May 20th – September 4th, 2017 at ByWard Market (Ottawa, ON)
Inspiration Village is an ephemeral hub that will be located in Ottawa’s historic ByWard Market. This edgy-looking entertainment locale on York Street will be the site of a succession of special exhibits and performing arts events, each one showcasing Canada’s provinces and territories. Inspiration Village will be built out of sea containers transformed into an aesthetic artistic installation.
